It has been a really great week! My sales went through on Wednesday so does anyone wants to join me for dim sum? 8D
Timetable for my semester is out and yayness! I got Japanese as my elective! I guess I can sleep through it and get a distinction with my eyes closed since the syllabus is so easy and does not require much thinking. I really hope that none of my timings clash with the narrative photography class as I
I submitted my images for the SYPA competition yesterday and with the exception of one image, I think I did pretty well editing them(: So its a 4 hour that was well spent(:
Tadah~~~~
My two favorite shots would be:
I promise myself that this is the last time that I am ever cropping an image!!!
'Compose from your camera! No cropping!!!!' *stabs self*
I did not stick to the original plan of the images that I want to submit but these few looks pretty good to me(: Just that I died cutting out that white line>.> If I made a single mistake, I would end up tearing my entire image>.< I almost tore the one with the shadow of the kevadi>.< So lesson learnt. Shoot, edit and submit your photos earlier. I kept thinking that I had lots of time to complete them during my break and boy was I wrong. After slacking the first two weeks away, I was panicking on the third but thankfully my still life turned out rather well. In fact, I was really stubborn in the beginning as I insisted on using a prime 135mm to shoot. In the end, I hated the distance so much that I swapped that for my 24-70mm and the results were pretty good(:
All in all, it has been a really hectic competition and I am so glad that it is over! Now is the waiting game for the results<3
I went down to S's salon today and he was like what can I do for you today 8D I told him that it reminds me of her bla bla bla and asked if he could either cut it really short or change the style of my fringe. So he told me that this time round, he is going to give me a style that looks so 'Alice' I can't say anything. Yup I am not saying anything(: He permed my hair <33333 LOVE CHEW NOM NOMs!!!! The poor can haz curls to frustrate her mornings!!!! So from this moment on, both my dolls and I can have super awesome curls to style! YAYNESS(:
After which, I brought the Hai Oh back to my poly to shoot the last of the week zero activities. Thanks to my wondrous sense of direction, I was walking in the complete opposite direction
Shooting with the Hai Oh was a nightmare>.> Not only was focusing a problem, getting my horizon line right has never been harder>.> I missed so many shots due to my horizon line problem and it does not help that I only had 12 shots... There is one shot which is confirmed to be out of focused as I pressed the shutter without thinking
Shooting with the Hai Oh also made me think about the days whereby I treated my 5D like a point and shoot. This time round, I can't afford the Hai Oh as a point and shoot>.< Its too expensive>.< I took 11 shots and should be processing the film soon! Any sponsors for the next roll? 8D
Ah wells. I will be shooting fashion tomorrow>.> I hope that I can at least get a free lunch for I predict that I will slog my soul out for free as it is going to be yet another hectic shoot with many many models in a short span of time.
Then again, I work best under pressure 8D
