Bloated O.O

I am not used to the length of my hair at all T_________T It is so short! I really want to take a glue and glue back my hair as it reminds me too much of that person:( So I will be dropping by S's salon this Friday again and see what he can do with it. Cross my fingers!!!

On Saturday, I went down to Orchard to shoot for the Fashion show. I did not expect much and as I predicted, it is not much at all -.- Ah well. I am not really complaining as I got a free hat and lanyard<3

Tadah~~~ My steal for Saturday(:

My pictures were barely passable as I was treating my 5D like a point and shoot. I got fed up with the 'exclusive' area Canon gave us and exchanged my 70-200mm for my 24-70mm and went out of the area to shoot. From this shoot, I think that I still get really caught up during events. It comes to a point whereby I do not even know why or what am I shooting>.> So the good thing out of this shoot would that I am actually aware that I am too caught up with the flow and slowed down before i burnt myself out. Yayness. self enlightenment. However, crappy images are still failed images but I got yet another fashion shoot this Saturday to make up for it and this time round, I am working with real models! The shoot should be really fun so I should be able to finally try out the floating concepts in my head 8D once my father is not looking.

Sunday was yet another day whereby I work to feed myself for the entire week. T and R came to 'visit' me and the brought something really fascinating. -Toy cameras.
They are the cutest things EVER! I am currently looking at a blackbird fly -a twin reflex camera and a golden half -a camera which is like 8cm and only exposes half a film for each shot. And I just had to pass by Kinokuniya to notice that they are selling this evil little build your own twin reflex camera kit for 53.8SGD T____T
Kinokuniya brought in 5 sets and I was so tempted to get one!!! But, if the poor get the camera kit, the poor will continue to feed on air for the rest of the week. So I decided to get the kit this Sunday if it is still there. If it is not, lets get over the fascination and stick to pixels.

The good news is that I managed to track down the cheapest golden half (60SGD) and blackbird fly (139SGD) camera in Singapore! The bad news is, the golden half that I want is out of stock and the blackbird fly which is in stock is way out of my budget T_____T Life of the poor. Move on T_T

Kiyo<3 She is so gorgeous! This is the photo concept I was working on for still life. Initially, I really wanted candles and incense smoke in the background. However, Given the space constraints I am working with, I would probably burn down my entire house if I used them... So working with what I have, I turned the Soom Amber outfit into something really different(: It might look easy to change the Amber outfit to something like that, but this styling alone took me 2 hours>.> Not including the adjustment of the light that falls on Kiyo's face>.< But I did pretty well(: I shall post the final picture on Saturday.

As for today, I got a chance to step into a really gorgeous church while 'assisting' did not do much at all M. Moving around that church kind of reminds me of the days whereby choir was based in Trinity and I would sing there twice a week. I miss singing in a choir T__T It was pretty tiring as we were climbing up stairs and ladders under the full blast of the sun while some people were staring at us wondering what are that two crazy people doing up on the roof of their church. The rewarding part of the shoot would be that I got to play with the M8 again 8D  am once again reminded that the human touch really makes a difference to the photo and that when working with a model, showing them the pictures that you take kind of makes it easier for them to understand what do you want or to pose better.

Next up, was one of the most epic dinner I had in a long time.
Since Hanami-san was in Singapore for two precious days, J, Tia and I brought her out for some 'Singaporean' food. We went down to the chomp chomp market? forgive me if I am wrong>.< Its the market in Serangoon. and according to J, we had 'Singapore' food...

Well, the thing is, J is a Russian who speaks English like I speak Chinese while her knowledge Japanese does not go as far as 'Toyota' and ' 'Konichiwa.'
Tia is strong in English and Arabic but speaks Russian like I know French and speaks Japanese like I speak German.
Hanami-san is a Japanese whose speaks impeccable French and 'Japanese' English.
While I am the Jack of all trades but the master of none.... So our dinner conversation went something like:

J: *points to fish* Fish good yessu.

Hanami-san: Eh? O sou desu. E kono fish de Hokaido ga (draws giant circle in the air) takusan ga imasu! {there is a lot of fish in Hokaido}

J: Ah! Hokaido! Yes! Hokaido!

Tia: Ah sakana (fish) in Hokaido!

Hanami-san: Hai hai Hokaido!

Tia: Hokaido!

J: Hokaido!

Then all three of them turned and looked at me to translate whatever they just said...

Epic.
