The week few by and I chanced upon this really interested article a few days back.

This article really gave me a good laugh and a pat on a back as I know that I am not alone(: It is a really great read!
For starters, I know that I can be really arrogant at times when it comes to photography and I am trying to change that mindset of mine. As much as it is not easy doing so given my fantastic childhood and the way I was taught to look at things, I am trying.
Thus, my confession would be that I am not as good as most people think I am. In fact, I hated photography until 6-7 months ago whereby I picked up the 5D.
Most of the images I shot before December were crap as prior to that month, I shot everything in F8 and mostly in auto mode.
The pictures I used to get into my school were not edited by me. Which is probably why I got in.
As much as I am suppose to be an expert in portraits, I do not have a single decent portrait.
I have no idea how to use/ control a flash. I just pop it in and set everything to auto. Which is why I do not use a flash.
I never ever clean my lens with those special lens cleaner or air blower thingy. I use my shirt.
Sensor cleaning? Whats that?
I once wondered why my images were over-exposed when I was shooting at ISO 800 under the sun.
I have no idea how to go about doing the colour management thing. Thank god my 5D comes equipped with an awesome auto white balance which I never touched ever since I picked it up. If all else fails, desaturate.
The list probably goes on but I can only think of all these point at the moment(:

I went down to the IT fair today and had a look at all the wonderful peripherals they offer. The cameras that caught my eye would be the Canon 550D, Powershot S90 and the Olympus pen. Well lets just say that two of the three cameras I mentioned are now sitting in my house(: So instead of Amy, I got a camera. Yayness. I shall post the box opening pictures of my new camera soon. Maybe I should name my new camera Emelita since that was supposed to be Amy's name>.< Ah wells when will the spending ever end.
On a side note, I am finally on facebook. yayness.
