Something beautiful~

Yes I photoshoped my face>.> There is no way my skin is this fabulous.

For quite some time now, all my weekends has been pretty busy, packed and epic and this one is no exception.

Starting from Friday, I went to school and rotted for three hours in class. played pokemon
Then, I got a call from T and sat down and had tea with her. I seriously felt like a counselor as there she was pouring her heart out and I was all sparkly trying to think of solutions while comforting her.
Next, I headed over to Orchard and walked around. Nothing really happened besides the fact that I overspent for dinner>.< Which means I will probably have to skip a meal this week.
Traveled back to Bishan and became 'Alice in Swensens.' Ok. The joke here was that I wanted to watch a movie -Alice in wonderland. So I 'dragged' K and G all the way to Bishan but the ticket timings were really bad so they watched Alice in Swensens instead. Free ice-cream!!! Thanks K for the treat<333
Next, M texted me and the rest was history. You know, I think I am really really fortunate that I am rather close with him but I shall touch on that later.

Moving on to one of the 'random-est' event I ever took on Saturday. Thank god for Sochii and Lawliet's awesome cosplay if not I would be bored to death. Lets put it this way. This was the first event that made me so bored that Kino became my model>.> I have some nice shots of her tho<333
I had fun with the headphones and K got some really nice shots of me after photoshopping my face.
The meet at heaven's loft was nice as the ice cream was good! I think I am having too much ice-cream>.< Thanks K for the treat. Again.

As for today, I attended the Canon's Be Empowered seminar for woman and it was really inspiring! The first speaker was Wong Maye-e from the associated press and it was really interesting to find out about journalism from a woman's point of view! She mentioned that photojournalism is moving towards mix media and she gave us a few examples which was really cool as I can't wait to try her ideas out during the next event! She had a really quirky sense of humor which really made me wonder if all photojournalist kind of develops them due to the nature of their job>.<  Whats really inspiring is that she agrees that Singapore can be really boring but there is always something interesting and you could just play with your angles and look at the humorous side of life.
After her talk, I went over to speak to her about the mix media thing and I told her that I am currently studying in the same school and course as her. When I asked her about the cropping of images, she told me that she crops her images! I was really surprised as she said that she crops them extensively as long as the original message is not altered. Then, when I told her that M is my lecturer, her whole facial expression just changed and she went like ' THE Mathias Heng??? 'THE Mr Mathias Heng?'
Looking back, I knew that M was pretty famous like even some of my friends know/ heard of him but Maye-e was like in awe as if he was a god or something>.< So I am really really fortunate to know and even shoot with him>.< Point is that right now, my images are barely passable soooooo I really have to treasure this opportunity and work even harder than before! Yayness.

The next speaker was Zhang Jing Na and I can only describe her as brilliant. She excels in the piano, air rifle and photography. She represented Singapore and won so many competitions in air rifle that it was really really cool!
She is only 22 but the way she does her concepts for fashion photography are simply stunning! Her images are really beautiful for a person who picked up the camera when she was just 18! She had quite a sad childhood as well so I really should not use mine as an excuse. All in all, her images are just stunning.

Then came the lucky draw whereby the first prize winner walked away with a canon 550D!!! Lucky person!
Canon was also selling my favorite red bag!!!! Its the one whereby they collaborated with Crumpler for 100SGD but this poor soul had no budget>.> So I let the bag slip from my fingers. Again... Ah wells lets look on the bright side(: I am carrying a 800+SGD Billingham. Why am I still complaining(:

After this seminar, I currently have a few concepts regarding the mix media thing floating around my head and I am crossing my fingers that they will come true! I am also looking at shooting something that is not cosplay related after looking at Jing Na's folio so I need models!!!!! But~~~ That will be after my still life and street shoot(: It is going to be another really packed holiday for me and I am really looking forward to it!!!
