It has been a long day and this shall be a short post since I written some 6 pages in the Alice's Diary. Partially.
I did a short shoot with the sleeping Dana this afternoon and killed myself. White on a pale skin on white on more white, does not work wonders unless you have a really distinctive white to off set the other white. The condition of the two wigs I worked with were so pathetic that if I was the owner of the wig, I would just burn them away.
I played with things like the movements of the feathers although it is not excatly really distinct as I did not lower my shutter to a notch. But picture this: a 1m by 3m space, crazy woman holding a camera with one hand while the other hand holds a fan fanning the doll while praying that the strings does not stray and there is no camera shake. Madness.
Thank god Dana was rather easy to work with as her stringing is not too bad.
I explored a nude theme with her as Dana had such beautiful body blushing that I do not want them to go to waste! I shot on my chio chio 35mm and I am pretty happy with the results. The lens is really light so it gives me the freedom to try out crazier things with the styling and placement of her clothes. Although I really wished I could have like four hands! Two will hold my camera, one will fan the doll and the other will hold up the string.
I shall post the images soon!!! In fact, I should just start a photo blog so that I can organize my images better>.>
Ah wells. We shall see.
My 35mm 8D
I know I should have just save up a little more and get a new one but this one is not bad:3
Ignoring the dust, noise and its tendency to blur out the sides too much.
It is a really short lens and I am kind of not used to it but I am loving the weight of it 8D
And does anyone want to go to Zhang Jing Na's exhibition with me??? I will probably go down next week! Hopefully.
