Another day passed~

Yessu people. THE HASSELBLAD LENS *plays epic music*

I have not been blogging like a mad woman but yes. I am still alive here. Its just that there are too many personal things that all went to the Alice diary so I did not actually have anything to blog about. I don't know who concluded that the number of times I update equates to my current mental state/ emotions so for all who are worrying, I am fine(: Thanks for your text/ emails/  mails/ postcards.

After spending an agonizing morning at the dentist, my teeth were declared problem free and my wallet is now 73.2SGD lighter. T____T

I managed to convince my father to take me to the zoo free entrance 8D in the afternoon and together with his friend Roger/ Ryan/ Roystan/ Richard, *pick one as I can't remember which one is his name. I only remember that it starts with a R.* We set off for the zoo at around 1 plus. For those of you in Singapore, you know that the 'lovely' rain lasted until around 5pm and the zoo closes at 6pm... Well I guess rain is an understatement as it was more of a downpour/ thunderstorm. The three of us were stuck under a shelter at a place called Ah Meng Restaurant and we literately rotted there for 3 hours. We ended up going to the zoo shooting people homo- sepians instead of the animals....

Shooting raindrops. Yessu. We were that bored.

'Ah Meng' and her 'kids 8D

So for the entire day, I only shot for an hour... But I had the chance of using the Hasselblad 180mm 8D

With the lens hood, it is slightly longer than the 70-200mm.
I can haz sparking pink pink nails

The 180mm is really heavy but when you get the focusing right, it is really really sharp and awesome!
Some of you guys have been wondering why am I complaining about the hasselblad manual focusing. Well technically speaking for the other lenses I have, when I use manual focus, I get a confirmation from the camera that it is in focus. But for the hasselblad lenses, there is no confirmation whatsoever. I shoot when I think it is in focus and pray that it is in focus. any sponsers for a rangefinder 8D

Given that, my shots were pretty bad today>.> From 100+ images, more half of them were out of focus and I scaled the number down to 37 focused shots and less than 15 usable ones. The problem I had with the 180mm is the focusing range. The range ranges from 2.5m to 60m to infinity. Which means that I have to be really careful as if I did not get my distance right, my shots will be out of focus>.> The minimal distance of 2.5m does not help at all as unless I step off the platform and jump straight onto the trees at the fragile forest area. I can't shoot nuts as everything was within a 1m range. It does not help that I only had an hour to shoot and the animals refused to look at me T___T

A preview of some shots:

Proboscis monkeys.

Horn bills are love<3

My 'best' lemur shot. Well its the only one I have as the rest were out of focus/ failed.
The best part is, this was shot on my S90...

Updates on my life would be that I am so broke that I actually had this crazy idea of joining a singing contest whereby the winner gets 1200SGD. BUT! I can't afford the 15SGD entrance fee.... *stabs self*

I finally caught "Le Chorister" after 4-5years... I still remember the days where N was raving about that show and yessu that show was awesome!!!!!! It is really similar to 'Sister Act' and 'Freedom writers' just that it was set in the olden French day period. The music was GOOD! I miss singing in a choir! Well I just miss singing on a whole. If I am crazy enough, I will probably either join my school's choir or the Soka's choir.

I also caught Hachiko, The depature and Nodame Cantabile! Like finally<333 All the shows were really good and I can't wait to rent more movies tomorrow or today since it is already 1.33am...  So many thing to accomplish with so little time! I think it is about time I start to piece my life back and get a hold of myself. I have been depressed for too many days/ weeks/ months and it is time to stop. Well perhaps I shall start my re-organizing the organize mess in my room as my floor is disappearing. Wish me good luck and do ask me out if you are in Singapore!

Its time to move on(:
