Yes people. Its Ris Low. I swear I have nothing against her. But when E from Germany emailed this link and asked if it was a joke, I have no idea how should I reply her... And it is not only E... There are about 6 others who mentioned Ris Low in our conversations...
Firstly, lets not talk about how fantasticular her English is. Face it, my English is as screwed up as hers just that I am able to pull it off better than her. Thanks to the lovely education system in Singapore, most Singaporeans speak what is know to me as 'Chin-glish' (read Chinese plus English) Which means that we are actually no better than her in terms of the usage of our 'grand-mer' (read grammar). For me, I am particularly weak in my sentence structure due to the many many languages I know and most of the time, I guess I am partially using the Japanese sentence structure as C pointed out before>.> Or as pointed out before by C...
Secondly, what on earth is she wearing O.O I know she is promoting condoms but STILL! Like pink and black lacy bra covered by an over-sized white jacket with your hair tied up is going to attract guys and get them to wear a condom... If this was suppose to be an educational message, I don't think it is getting to me. Even if the company wanted her to dress this way, why did she even agree to dress like that??? I know she has assets and all but when you are doing an educational message on SAFE SEX, does it mean you really have to dress this way>.> Even if some of you guys feel that my way of thinking is too conservative, I just hate her white jacket. If you really want to show off, take that frigging jacket off and put on something other than that as white corduroy does not go with tied up hair.
And as much as I love her perfectly Frenched manicured nails, it draws too much attention away from the condom and it is very very distracting>.>
Thus, whoever did the styling for her failed.
Thirdly, what is with the editing of this video? The things that she does (condom flies out of her hand) / dumb looking facial expression should be cut out of the video and not included in. It looks more like a comedy show of how stupid and naive Singaporeans are towards sex than an educational message. I am sure that god forbids her to put a condom on for a guy as she does not even know how to handle the damm thing>.>
I am sure she is reading a script but whoever wrote that script seemed as though he wants to humiliate her even more.
Point is, she had no common sense and went along with the stupid script and tadah~ Joke of the year.
However, if I really have to blame someone for that stupid video, I would blame clicknetwork.tv for coming up with this 'sensational' clip to disgrace Singaporeans even more. And a small portion to Ris Low for being so bloody naive. This is so embarrassing>.<
To my friends from around the globe who are reading this, yes we have weird people in Singapore. Thank the stars that I am not one of them.
