4 men and a giant sweet machine(:
CANDY~~~~
I have not been blogging for little while due to some interent connection errors so this is probably going to be a looooong post(:
First let me start off by wishing everyone a happy new year!
To me, 2009 was one of my best years ever and its filled with many many unforgettable memories! The meeting of new friends, ties forged, trust gain, tears shed, laughter shared, wine drank, epic trips out of Singapore and the awesome amount of money spent! My life is a drama and it is fabulous(:
I am not the type of person who makes New Year resolutions and I don't think it is going to be different this year either(: But one thing is for sure! And that is the fact that I will be out shooting most of the time to improve my street, still life and portrait skills! I am really looking at participating in as many competitions as possible this year and wining them XD
Alrights. So my 4 days of shooting is finally over!!!
For the Eye E City shots, I am quite surprised with what I came out with! There are still shots whereby I slapped myself and said God what was I thinking of??? Truth is I probably did not give it much thought at all:3 I submitted 17 shots and I do not have a single portrait shot in it>.> I went with A to shoot and we walked from Orchard to Douby to bugis to Raffles and finally to Clarke Quay to catch the fireworks before rushing for the train! Epic day/night with him! He shot in flim so it was rather challenging for the night shots as the flim given to him had an ISO of 400>.< I guess I did pretty well but I need to go closer>.> Like seriously. Especially shots of the people playing with snow foam!!! I got a pretty good angle but it was just not close enough... *slaps self*
Malay wedding in a Chinese Temple!
On New Years day, after I submitted my photos, guess who got lost in the CBD area again! Yessu. I walked in circles starting from Bugis to raffles and city hall>.< I think I even passed by Clark Quay as I saw the MICA building when my destination was Orchard... Anyways, I managed to located the SMU building after many many circles and I passed by a white building which I found out that it was the Singapore Art Museum/Gallery? And they were having free admission all day!!!! So there was like a really long queue in front of the entrance. I went closer to take a look and overheard the typical Singaporean conversation:
Person 1: Wah. What is this building ah? Why got so many people queue?
Person 2: Dunno leh. Queue lor.
So the 2 ladies queued and guess what? They were actually queuing for an Egyptian exhibit and the waiting time is about 2 hours! Good job!
I went round the inside of the museum and I got some pretty interesting shots! I shall not compare this museum to the NEW YORK METROPOLITAN MUSEUM but this one is really not bad! Just that there were kids screaming and crying and if it is not for the fact that they make rather good photography subjects, I felt like slapping them and pushing them down the stairs.
Kids.
Then it was the random walk from Bugis to Orchard yesterday! I got approached by a random Model agency and they asked if I am interested in modeling sports wear.... Like firstly, I don't ever exercise. Secondly, don't speak to me in Chinese!!!!!!!! Then I got approached by a South African and he helped me kill some time by chatting with me from Douby to Sommer set(: He was really random but the overly paranoid me can tell that he is lying(: Like if you were really from NUS business school, the least you could do is write better(: Other than that, he was just killing time for me(:
Ah wells. I am really looking forward to my next shoot! But for now I shall stop being lazy and process the mountain load of pictures I have>.< Lets pray that the internet in my house is fixed!!!!
I can never catch anything!!!
